How to Ride a Skateboard

Have you seen people skateboarding around going place to place. Want to be like those people but don’t know how to balance on a skateboard? It is pretty hard to start off in the beginning but once you learn the basics it becomes easier to balance. First thing you have to do is not give up and take action right away. Tip #1: Get comfortable balancing. This is the first step you have to take to learn how to ride a skateboard. One thing I did was stand on my skateboard and just balance side to side. Front to back. All I did was get comfortable being on top of the skateboard. This was my first step on becoming comfortable with my skateboard.

Tip #2: Once you learn how to get comfortable standing on your skateboard, you should learn how to be comfortable when you are moving on top of your skateboard. Another thing I did was stand on the skateboard then push myself down a hallway and just keep my balance.

Tip #3: Learn how to kick to gain speed. First you should learn how to ride a skateboard with one leg on the skateboard and one off. This helps you learn how to kick later on. And once you learn how to kick the skateboard, that is the basics. This will help you get your foundation of balance, if you are super uncoordinated.

Once you learn the basics of skateboarding, It becomes easier to ride around. Maybe you would want to switch to a long board because it has more speed. This lets you get to places faster. Time is gold right? But most people would use skateboards for tricks. So have fun skateboarding and learning new tricks.
